Counselling for First Responders

I hear First Responders saying…

“Emotions are really hard to talk about… “
“Avoiding feeling my feelings is how I’ve have always coped, but it’s not working so well anymore.”

Do you find yourself investing energy in hiding what’s really going on for you?
Now might be a good time to reach out.

I provide space to explore safer and kinder ways to deal with your feelings.

Areas that I assist with most frequently are:

  • Negative or critical self talk
  • Grief relating to loosing someone to suicide
  • Low mood
  • Anxiety taking hold
  • Anger showing up
  • Struggling to speak up
  • Overwhelm

Appointments are either over the phone or on a virtual secure telehealth platform.

First responders can utilize https://firstresponderhealth.org/ to access booking services directly (some funding available). I am listed as one of the clinicians in the directory. If you don’t see a booking time that works, please email me your time preference.

Alternatively, fees for services may be covered by your extended health insurance.  Please check with your provider to confirm coverage of services by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I am a member in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Fees for service are generally in line with average rates for counsellors in BC.
