I believe people do their best healing and growth in spaces where they feel respected, supported, and genuinely understood. My work is centred on creating those kinds of spaces for individuals, helping professionals, and teams.
Clients say that my work with them brings back hope, self-compassion, fresh insights, relief, and opportunities for change, empowerment, and transformation.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with more than 25 years of experience in community mental health and private practice.
Over the years, I have worked alongside individuals, frontline workers, counsellors, healthcare professionals, first responders, and community organizations, navigating complex and emotionally demanding work. I understand both the privilege and weight of holding space for others, and I believe strongly in creating supportive spaces where people feel understood and able to reconnect with their strengths, gain insight, grow their skills and deepen awareness of their own capacity.
Before private practice, I worked for many years with Vancouver Coastal Health in suicide prevention and crisis intervention. Since 2011, much of my work has focused on supporting helping professionals and community teams through clinical consultation, supervision, facilitation, and reflective practice.
My approach is relational and trauma-informed, grounded in connection and collaboration. Clients and colleagues often describe me as steady, thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply engaged. I draw from a range of approaches, including CBT, DBT-informed practices, Narrative Therapy, AEDP, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other trauma-informed modalities.
I am passionate about helping clinicians and community teams to develop grounded, thoughtful and sustainable practices within this meaningful work.
